The most *extraordinary* tree I’ve ever seen has to be this knobwood tree in South Africa. Look at it! Madness.
But, my *favourite* tree ever is the one slightly left of centre in this photo of my grandparent’s old summer cottage in Sweden. My grandfather used to pay me and my brother one öre for every twig that it had deposited on the lawn. Öre don’t even EXIST anymore. Man I am old. But not as old as that tree.
I am also very fond of the tree at the end of the garden in the aforementioned photograph. My mother planted it when she was a wee youngster and I like to think that it will probably still be there when we have all gone.
